You can be Fishers of Mankind. I've been called a liar many times in my life. And each time it became clear that calling me a liar stemmed from an inability to see the same truth that I had lived through, but that didn't in any case change the truth. The truth, when describing an event in your life, is exactly what happened or if embellished is then not the truth. If that which happened, as you are telling it, is that which happened without addition or subtraction and to the best of your recollection, it could then only be 'the truth'. Some say they have seen a ghost or ghosts and even I would tend to call them liars, according to all that I know of life. But then we have come to classify 'ghosts' as those who have left there bodies in the ground and as a spirit are able to muster themselves into a form that can be seen but only by a certain person or persons, (aren't the movies good at what they do), coming back to haunt some wrong doer or to correct something they left undone. If it could be true it would require the permission and will of God to live in an ungodly form. Having said that we know that there are spirits aplenty that live in a spiritual state, and if possible, some would come to haunt us, but to my knowledge none are the spirits of those that have died. We seek the spiritual world more and more and there is a good reason. As we are in this human embodiment our experiences of life are of a physical form and a natural state yet our conscience tells us there is so much more. We dream dreams that sometimes are far to real as if living in another world. Is it a lie or a truth? Romans 3:3-4 - 3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? 4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Is it true that if you drop a ball from your hand it will land on the ground and maybe even bounce? YES!!! Is it true there are birds in the sky? YES!!! Is it true that the with our senses we know that the wind comes and goes and yet we cannot see the air that we breath? YES!!! As we look about us, no matter where on this earth we are, we can see signs of life and is that a truth or not? It is truth. So how do we change the true into the lie when the truth is unchangeable. And as such we have only to accept that the truth is exactly that, 'the truth'. We look into the eyes of the teller and compare it to the known of our own lives and come up with a conclusion often abstractly different from the truth. Yet if it was indeed the truth the teller will always be able to tell you 'the truth', tomorrow, next week, or even years from now. Malachi 2:6 -The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. Matthew 14:25-33 - 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. 31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God. Mark 12:32 - And the scribe said unto him, Well, Master, thou hast said the truth: for there is one God; and there is none other but he: John 1:15-18 - 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. 18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him. John 3:15-21 - 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. 21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. John 4:24 - God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. John 8:32 - And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:44 - Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. John 8:45 - And because I tell you the truth, ye believe me not. John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:17 - Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. John 16:7 - Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. James 3:13-18 - 13 Who is a wise man and endued with knowledge among you? let him shew out of a good conversation his works with meekness of wisdom. 14 But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. 15 This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. 16 For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. 17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. 18And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. 1 John 2:21 - I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. 1 John 4:6 - We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error. 3 John 1:4 - I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. And here is one more truth that Paul writes: - 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24 - 23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. 24 Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. - - - - - - - - - - - Jesus said in - Luke 21:36 - Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man. Remember, the choice is yours. I pray you make the right ones. Jesus said in - Matthew 4:4- It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God. Are you listening? |
