I was at the post office registering a form letter to send an answer to the lawyer representing the girl that said I was the one that dented her car just below the mirror. OK, in the beginning, I was in the area and my car has some missing paint in the right place to match. But, I only needed to get some groceries and there was another car like mine pulling out of the same space I pulled into, (right next to her). She came out and saw the dent and the missing paint and.....

I'm not saying it is a good way to meet someone and I would not recommend it - unless - you you really like life the hard way. She had to be proven she was wrong. Even though I had sent her a letter telling her I had gone to my dad's farm and stopped on a down hill grade with a tree not too far away from my car. I was in a hurry and didn't get the parking brake set correctly, hence while I was in the house for 45 seconds, it rolled into the tree. I kept meaning to get it into the paint shop, I just hadn't yet. And it's not like it was a big deal, it was hardly noticeable to me let alone anyone else. 

This is the world we live in, trust is a five letter word. Who in their right mind these days would begin to believe anything someone they don't know says about anything, especially a stranger about an accident. Of course he or she is going to lie, aren't they? I mean it would make their insurance rates go up, and I can think of many other reasons not to be honest. 

     Proverbs 9:1-12 -  ¹ Wisdom hath builded her house, she hath hewn out her seven pillars: ² She hath killed her beasts; she hath mingled her wine; she hath also furnished her table. ³ She hath sent forth her maidens: she crieth upon the highest places of the city, ⁴ Whoso is simple, let him turn in hither: as for him that wanteth understanding, she saith to him, ⁵ Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. ⁶ Forsake the foolish, and live; and go in the way of understanding. ⁷ He that reproveth a scorner getteth to himself shame: and he that rebuketh a wicked man getteth himself a blot. ⁸ Reprove not a scorner, lest he hate thee: rebuke a wise man, and he will love thee. ⁹ Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be yet wiser: teach a just man, and he will increase in learning. ¹⁰ The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding. ¹¹ For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and the years of thy life shall be increased. ¹² If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: but if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

I never blame anyone for being human, we all are or we wouldn't be here. She and I met with our lawyers for the first time and I was very surprised that such a pretty girl could be so bitter. She didn't want to believe there was another car exactly like mine at exactly the right time at exactly the same place and that they left without notifying her like they should. 

As luck would have it I was buying groceries again and I spied the other car like mine. Well I grabbed my camera and took several pictures and with my buddy taking a couple of the pictures pointed to the paint that matched hers on their car. When I showed her the pictures she shrank down in her chair as I expected, but I had no need to hurt her. I gave the info to her lawyer and they went after the right person, (I was even able to help). She, as it turned out, was to become my wife after all of that got sorted out. In the beginning there was something between us. Now it is the love of God.

     Matthew 14:26-31 -   ²⁶ And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. ²⁷ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. ²⁸ And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. ²⁹ And he said, Come.
