My God, My God??? - Fear
Bible verses: Deuteronomy 28:65-67, Psalms 64:1-6, Psalms 111:9&10, Luke 21:36, Matthew 4:4
My God bless
You can be Fishers of Mankind.

These days any of us can find ourselves speeding down a busy freeway or highway or even a country road to get to our destination no matter what the reason is, late for work, late for a date, trying to get there ahead of everybody else to get the better seat, etc. A small fear is that we won't get there at all. No matter where 'there' is, sometimes all we can do is pray the other car doesn't hit us, or the various other detainments won't cause us some form of pain. Some of us check our faith at the front door and leave it home, and unless some dreadful unbelievable event happens, nearly none of us bring it (our faith) up to another soul during our day.

However..., it seems fear fills each of us as in the fear of:

And this is not a complete list of things that we as people are fearful of. And I'm sure that even you could add something to the list.

So you're driving down the highway late at night and fall asleep, (unbeknown to you, of course), and you drive off the road into a ditch. Upon stopping you wake up to see the dust settling around you and you immediately check yourself out and make sure everything works! It does and you feel lucky. Then you look around to see the twisted machine and know your luck wasn't so good. You begin to realize you're not sure where you are on the map, on this cross country trip, because you thought you could save some time by taking this short cut.

There you are in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the night, and the clock is ticking. Is that smoke rising from under the twisted hood, and what's that smell? Is it oil? What does oil actually smell like? Or is it gas? Is your sniffer off? Why can't you remember what gas smells like? And if it is gas how much time do you have before it starts a fire? Can you get out? You get those chills down your back. And you say a quick prayer (Help me Lord I know I'm in trouble and I can't do this without you!).

Deuteronomy 28:65-67 -  65 And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66 And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see.

Psalms 64:1-5 -  1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy. 2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity: 3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words: 4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not. 5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?

Psalms 111:9&10 -  9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name. 10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.

Help is on it's way. God will give you the strength to get through your trials and tribulations as long as you trust in Him like He trusts in you. If you have faith in Him like He has faith in you. your vehicle may be bent and twisted and you may not be able to get to your mom and dad's anniversary on time like you planed but Jesus knows where you are. Will you give your fear to Him and walk with Him?

Jesus said in - Luke 21:36 - Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

Remember, the choice is yours. I pray you make the right ones.

Jesus said in - Matthew 4:4- It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
