OCTOBER FEST

Betrothed, my beloved,
The dearest to me,
Is becoming in crystal,
Entices with glee.
She shimmers in low light,
Inviting me in;
And lips curl around her,
Affection to win.
But, O Lord! What a darkness
Her shimmering hides!
The sickness ever lingers
Once her hand alights.
So watch, you, lest you fall
To cunning alcohol!
